The green.eu project (Full Name: European Global Transition Network on Eco-Innovation, Green Economy and Sustainable Development) aims to accelerate the transition towards a green economy, with a focus on co-development of knowledge. The project will examine the challenges of improving understanding and assessment of the concepts of the green economy and eco-innovation, adaptation of policy-agendas, documentation of best practices and knowledge transfer and transferability. In particular, the project is aiming to improve: 1. Harmonisation of definitions; 2. Collection of relevant information on the performance of past and current policy efforts; 3. Co-ordination amongst stakeholders. The project will do this through the creation of the international Innovation for Sustainable Development Network (inno4sd.net).
